I’ve seen several posts on Facebook asking if anyone knew if Planet Fitness was going to come to Valparaiso. I decided to do some research. I’m a Planet Fitness member so I asked an employee at the Merrillville location if they knew anything.
She said there were going to be a total of 9 locations in the area. The new Merrillville gym was number 6. They are working Eastward and Valpo is next. I asked if she knew where in Valpo but she didn’t know. some peeps on Facebook said maybe the old Sears hardware building. I drove over and looked. I took a picture. There is a construction fence up but no building permit showing. I’ll keep digging and if you know anything leave a comment below.
My husband poured concrete over there recently and his paperwork that they give him said it was for a Planet Fitness.
